About Andrew

I’ve been a professional comedian with The Panic Squad Improv Comedy for 20 years. It’s been my career since 2001 and the way I support my incredible wife and 4 children. I absolutely love giving the gift of laughter to audiences across North America.

My favorite sound in the world is one I call the “after-laugh”. Similar to an earthquake’s aftershock, an after-laugh is the sound an audience makes when they are recovering from an incredibly hard, long bout of laughter. There are audible sighs, big breaths, rippling giggles, and lots of tummy holding and cheek rubbing. It means I’ve done my job with excellence and I love it.

I’ve had the privilege of performing across the United States and Canada for diverse events ranging from local churches and businesses to large national conferences and top Fortune 500 corporations. Live audiences have ranged from the 6 people who attended our first public show in 1996, to over 35,000.Screen Shot 2016-06-05 at 9.35.24 PM

I also love leadership and teamwork. Understanding how to lead and function within a team is essential to succeeding in improv. I love to study what causes some teams to run smoothly while others disintegrate.

Out of my combined passion in improv comedy and professional development, I created a number of professional development workshops that use improv comedy to teach key elements of teamwork, leadership, and stage presentation.  I have also had the privilege to be a featured speaker where I enjoy applying my sense of humor and experience in improv comedy to faith, leadership, and teamwork.

When not performing, teaching or speaking, I do my most important, challenging and cherished work. Taking the lead role as husband and father in my family. One beautifully spunky wife, four energetic young kids, and a yellow lab. Talk about improv! We make our home in beautiful Northwest Washington State.
